Store To Warehouse Transfers - Troubleshooting

Transfer numbers look like TR-######. A transfer moves stock between a parts store and its WD warehouse.

Transfer states, in order:

• Draft → Submitted → Picked → In Transit → Received → Closed

more than 1 business day.

• The warehouse has not picked it. Usually a part on the transfer is out of stock at the warehouse.
• Fix: open the transfer, remove or back-order the missing lines, and resubmit.

more than 2 business days.

• The receiving store has not scanned the delivery.
• Fix: ask the store to receive it with the handheld scanner. If boxes are missing, open a carrier claim and attach the bill of lading to the ticket.

• Receive what arrived. The difference stays open as a short-ship line for 5 business days, then is written off to the sending location.

• Draft or Submitted: the store manager.
• Picked or later: only WD inventory control.
